Tailwind Trails is home to a darling, technically challenging Cross Country Schooling Course, built in 2018 and renovated in 2026. Highlights include a ditch, banks, hanging logs, a corner, a sunken road, a trakehner, keyhole, coops, brush, water features and many more efforts and questions. Heights from Intro through Novice, our course is the perfect place to school young horses, introduce hunter and jumper riders to the thrill of cross country, or for seasoned pairs to prepare for an upcoming horse trial. Our trainers focus on building relaxation and confidence in both horses and riders, and assure a positive experience for every pair who rides with us. Over the years, we have hosted Cross Country Clinics from some of the very best in the sport, including top Canadian Eventer and two-time Road to the Horse Champion, Tik Maynard, and former USA Eventing Olympic Team Member and Rolex Winner, Dorothy Crowell.

We routinely offer small group clinics up to 4 riders of like ability, all by appointment. Vests are recommended but not required, minors must be accompanied by a parent, and trainers are welcome to come and ride with their group! Current Coggins is required.
